Best Estate: a task-management system for the operations team

Alongside sales, Best Estate's content, graphics and creator teams run their work in a dedicated task-management system: teams with heads, work grouped by scheme, an approval workflow, boards where only heads mark work done, project rooms with files and chat, and per-person performance reports.

The client

The same Lahore property marketing company runs internal teams — Content, Graphics and Creators — that produce the material behind every campaign. They needed a way to assign, review and measure that work without it living in chat threads and spreadsheets.

Marketing a housing scheme takes content, graphics and video work, not just sales. Best Estate's operations teams run that work in a system of their own, separate from the sales ERP.

What we built

2 systems, feature by feature

01

Teams and tasks

How work is organised and assigned.

Live
  • Teams, heads and members
Admin creates teams such as Content, Graphics and Creators; each has one or more heads.
  • Projects as hashtag groups
All work for a scheme lives under its tag, for example #LOF for Lahore Organic Farm.
  • Tasks across teams
A task can be assigned to one or several teams at once.
  • Approval workflow
Member-created tasks wait for a head's approval; heads send work back with a 'changes required' note.
02

Boards, rooms and reporting

How work moves, gets discussed and gets measured.

Live
  • Boards with controlled completion
Members move cards up to review; only heads and admins mark work done.
  • Rooms with files and chat
Discussion per project, inline preview of images, video and PDFs, unread counts.
  • Daily routines
Recurring duties with a per-day tick, separate from project tasks.
  • Performance reports
Workload, completion rate, on-time rate, rework and overdue counts per person.

How it is built

A Next.js and NestJS application on PostgreSQL, with MinIO for file storage and the whole stack in Docker. Work is grouped by scheme using hashtag-style tags, tasks move across teams, and an approval workflow keeps a head in the loop before anything is marked done. Project rooms hold the files and the discussion; reports turn the activity into per-person numbers.
